Step 1 — Review the program

Read the program information and determine whether professional barbering or barbershop entrepreneurship fits your post-military career goals.

Step 2 — Check eligibility

Confirm that you meet current DoD and service-specific SkillBridge requirements.

Step 3 — Contact KJ’s Barbershop

Submit an online interest/application form.

Step 4 — Program review

KJ’s Barbershop reviews your information and discusses program availability, training expectations, and proposed participation dates.

Step 5 — Military approval

Complete your required SkillBridge approval process through your military command/service.

Step 6 — Begin your transition

Once all required approvals are completed, report to the program and begin your career training.

Submitting an application or receiving preliminary acceptance from KJ’s Barbershop does not replace or guarantee required military approval.

KJ’s Barbershop SkillBridge Program provides career training and industry experience for eligible transitioning service members. Participation is subject to applicable Department of Defense, military-service, command, program, education, and licensing requirements.
